As Switzerland is not part of the EU, there are a few special considerations to bear in mind when it comes to shipping. We have set these out clearly below so that there are no surprises when your parcel arrives at your doorstep.
Design your own patches – from the design to the finished patch
You do not need a print-ready file. A logo, a sketch or a photo of your existing badge will suffice. We’ll use this to draw up a design, determine the size, shape, border style and fastening method, and send both the design and the price back to you. Any requests for changes are free of charge until you give your approval.
You can choose from embroidered patches with a chain stitch edge, woven patches for fine lettering and small details, printed patches for colour gradients and photorealistic designs, as well as Rubber Patches Made from PVC. The reverse side is available in a version for sewing on, for Iron on, with Velcro or self-adhesive.
Delivery to Switzerland: postage, customs duties and import tax
We dispatch from Germany. The The flat-rate delivery charge to Switzerland is currently €29.00. As Switzerland is a third country, we state on the invoice No German VAT out – the consignment is treated as an export.
However, duties are payable on importation into Switzerland, which the courier collects from the recipient: the Swiss import duty of 8.1 per cent on the value of the goods, including postage, as well as a Carrier’s customs clearance fee, which, depending on the service provider, is usually between 12 and 25 francs. Textile patches are also subject to customs duty; the amount of duty depends on the weight and is generally low for patches due to their light weight.
In practical terms, this means: add a further 10 to 15 per cent to the invoice amount to cover import tax and customs clearance. We state the value of the goods correctly on the commercial invoice to ensure that customs clearance goes through without any queries.
