Personalised fabric key rings can be customised – with a logo, name, your own design or even a short slogan. They are popular promotional items for clubs, companies and brands, but are also in high demand as fan merchandise. Fabric is particularly practical: it’s light, flexible and comfortable to wear – unlike metal or hard plastic.
Your key ring is 100% custom-made – in your chosen size, with a metal eyelet and key ring. You can choose between embroidered, woven or printed, depending on the design and intended use. Creative ideas such as a catchy slogan or a personal statement can also be easily incorporated.

Key rings are popular: on the one hand, they keep your bunch of keys tidy; they’re simple and practical, for example when you’re trying to find a single key in your bag. At the same time, however, for many people they also make a fashion statement – whether simply featuring an attractive design that reflects their personality, or to show their affiliation (e.g. with a company, a club or a brand).
So, when you give away customised key rings featuring your logo or your own design (or, as a club, sell them to members), you’re offering both a practical and an emotional benefit. And this benefit is long-lasting too: once a key ring has been attached to a set of keys or to a single key, it isn’t likely to be removed any time soon. This means you’ve achieved a lasting promotional effect – sometimes for years after distributing such a promotional item.
Double-sided key rings (including different designs on the front and back) are made in pairs. Naturally, your logo and/or lettering should feature on the custom-designed key ring – this is important for promotional items. On the reverse, a design that appeals to the customer can make the customised key ring even more interesting. This makes it much more likely that the key ring will be used – and for longer – resulting in an even greater and longer-lasting promotional impact.
Why not, for example, as a pet food manufacturer, appeal to customers with a popular animal motif; as a club or sports retailer, with a ball; or as a drinks retailer, with a stylised bottle (and, of course, your logo on the back)? This makes the patches much more popular, even with customers who wouldn’t otherwise use promotional items.
And, of course, at Neumeyer Abzeichen, the shape of the key ring can also be adapted to these designs: for example, a key ring in the shape of an animal, a ball, a bottle or any other shape.
Embroidered key rings are the most common and also the most cost-effective way to produce customised key rings. One reason for this is that embroidered key rings are particularly durable.
However, if you have a design or logo for your key ring that features a great deal of detail, the embroidery technique will eventually reach its limits. Woven key rings can then reproduce your custom design with much greater detail and clarity. What’s more, woven key rings are even thinner and softer than embroidered fabric lanyards.
Key rings printed on fabric are the most expensive option. However, this method allows for any number of colours to be used (and gradients are rendered well), and the level of detail is also very good.
Design your own key ring: with any motif, in any shape (not just rectangular), and in a wide variety of colours (including gold, silver, etc.). This makes the keyring much more personal and appealing to everyone who wears it: from club members to hobbyists, from sports and music fans to the promotional items mentioned earlier.

The classic shape for embroidered key rings is rectangular. However, other shapes are also possible, such as oval key rings or even those with a completely irregular shape – perfect for your own designs.
For all designs, the key ring is attached to the shorter end.
The same materials are used for the key rings – whether embroidered, woven or printed – as for the custom-designed patches. This means the choice of colours is just as extensive. If you do not specify any particular colours when placing your order, we will select the colours that best match your design specifications. For the printed version, the file you send us containing your own design will determine the colours on the key rings.
In principle, any design you create yourself is possible. As with patches, it is advisable to choose the woven or even printed version for very fine designs. With the embroidered version, please note that lettering should be at least 5 mm high to ensure it is clearly legible on key rings.
Naturally, you’ll want your key ring to last a long time and not fray. That’s why your key ring is finished with what’s known as a overlock hem, meaning the edges are finished with a single-colour border using an overlock stitch. The advantage is that this type of overlock finish is very durable, makes badges and patches long-lasting, and also looks great.
1. Enter the desired patch size:
The first step is to specify the size of your embroidered patch (width and height in cm). For round patches (e.g. with a diameter of 8 cm), enter 8 cm x 8 cm in the ‘Height x Width’ field. You can order patches directly here up to a size of 12.7 cm (diameter for round patches, width + height / 2 for all other shapes). Larger patches are also possible, but will be priced on a case-by-case basis. To receive a quote, please send us your logo, specifying the desired size and quantity. We will then send you our competitively priced quote.
2. Selection of possible extras (special requests)
Here you can specify whether you would like the colours in gold, silver or bronze – for a small surcharge – as metallic threads. These give patches a particularly elegant finish. We can also produce your patch with a special fastening. You can choose between an iron-on backing or a Velcro fastening. If no specific fastening is specified or requested in your order, we will produce your patches for sewing on as standard. Furthermore, two different base fabrics are available for your embroidered patch. The standard option is twill fabric (a special cotton blend), which will be used for your patch unless you select the felt backing option.
3. Specifying the desired order quantity
In the third step of the ordering process, you will need to specify the quantity you wish to order. Please note that the minimum order quantity for patches is 20.
4. Specifying optional requests
Please specify the font, embroidery thread and background colours in the file you upload. Please enter the colour codes (RAL, HKS or Pantone colours) in the message field. If no details are provided, our staff will select a suitable font, embroidery thread and background colours for you.
5. Uploading your own template:

Sollten Sie zu Ihrem Motiv mehrere Vorlagen haben, z.B.: Sie haben den Originalaufnäher fotografiert und laden uns dieses Foto unter “Vorlage hochladen” hoch und haben aber eine weitere Skizze mit der geänderten Beschriftung für diesen Aufnäher, so laden Sie dieses Bild von Ihrer Skizze im Formular “Anfrage senden” hoch. Sie können Ihre Vorlage in den Datei-Typen *.pdf, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png, *.zip, *.gzip, *.rar, *.tar und *.7z mit einer Auflösung von 300 dpi schicken. Falls Sie Ihre Vorlage nicht in dieser Art zur Verfügung haben genügt auch eine Skizze. Gerne dürfen Sie uns diese weiteren Vorlagen aber auch über Ihren eigenen E-Mail-Account an die info@aufnaeher.de senden.
6. Ordering and payment process
Mit Angabe der Liefer- und Bezahlinformationen schließen Sie den Bestellvorgang ab. Sobald Ihre Bestellung online angekommen ist, erhalten Sie eine Auftragsbestätigung sowie eine Rechnung für Ihre Patches per E-Mail zugesandt. Bitte beachten Sie, dass wir erst nach Prüfung Ihres Entwurfs endgültig entscheiden können, ob Ihre Vorlage für die Produktion eines gestickten Aufnähers geeignet ist. Sollte das nicht der Fall sein, so werden Sie von unseren Sachbearbeitern darüber informiert und bezüglich einer anderen Variante (gewebt bzw. gedruckt) beraten. Selbstverständlich erhalten Sie auch Ihr Geld zurück, wenn keine Lösung gefunden wurde. Ein paar Tage nach Auftragserteilung erhalten Sie ein Foto des gestickten Aufnähers zur Kontrolle. Verbesserungen (falls technisch möglich) oder Farbänderungen können bei dem ersten Stickmuster kostenlos abgeändert werden. Erst nach Ihrer endgültigen Freigabe beginnen wir mit der Produktion Ihrer gestickten Aufnäher.
